PRENATAL YOGA
EMBRACING THE TRANSFORMATION
Pregnancy is a magical time with a great potential for personal growth. While profound changes are happening in the body, more subtle levels of our being are opening up, offering a chance for a deeper understanding of the Self.
Opening up to the change
It is a time of new beginnings and connection to our child, but also a time when deep emotions, old memories, insecurities and fears can emerge to be confronted and finally released. It offers an opportunity for self-development and letting go of what does not serve us any more in order to open up free space for a new beginning. Yoga practice can serve as a safe space to be with our emotions, to release them and to accept ourselves. Regular practice helps to ground ourselves in our bodies, connect with the joy of bringing a new life to the world and withstand the current of fast changes with a calm and relaxed mind. It helps to develop a sensitivity to the needs of the body and facilitates the process of giving birth. It also prepares us for the postpartum and helps to develop tools to support the healing process.
